A Glimpse into Dahlia Genshin Impact

This deacon from the Favonius Church, Mondstadt area is 1 of a total of 7 characters leaked by Genshin Impact some previous patches.

This character was first officially introduced as a messenger for the Anemo Archoni and the Traveler in “Archon Quest The Gardener in Interlude Chapter: Act IV – Paralogism”.

As a messenger or Herald, Dahlia helps Barbatos to provide information on what is happening in Mondstadt, such as events, including conveying messages and questions given by the people of Mondstadt.

Of course Dahlia knows the identity Venti as Barbatos or Anemo Archon. This deacon of ours is also the one who gives Travelers the opportunity to meet Venti to discuss the strangeness that is happening in Mondstadt which is the main plot of this Interlude Archon Quest plot.

Ability Priority

Like his duties as a Deacon, Barbatos' Herald gameplay kit is support. He can provide support in the form of a Hydro Shield called Favonian Favor.

Favonian Favor will be triggered if you use Elemental Burst which will deal AoE Hydro DMG to the enemy. 

When active, Favonian Favor will automatically provide a Shield and increase the ATK and SPD of the active character in the party.

Passive talent will be very beneficial for a team consisting of Hydro and Cryo characters. Every time Frozen reaction is triggered on an enemy, the talent will activate Benison stack.

This Benison stack allows Dahlia to regenerate her shield and strengthen the shield's effects.

The power of the Elemental Burst Shield is calculated from Dahlia's HP, so the build is quite easy.

Actually, as a support for our Deacon's abilities, you should prioritize it up to the last level of Elemental Burst only.

However, if you want to increase the character's value, increase DMG and provide other excitement from the gameplay, you can maximize the Elemental Skill level.

Elemental Skill will form a foothold that will explode giving Hydro DMG to enemies. 

This foothold will also make the characters in our party soar, making it easier for characters who have Plunging Attack gameplay like Xiao and Varesa.

So if we talk about capability priorities, the author would recommend Elemental Burst > Elemental Skill.

Based on the priority of abilities that focus on Favonian Favor, here are recommendations that can optimize Favonian Favor support.

Constellation Recommendations

There are actually many constellations that are very good for the owner of the “Cantus Choralis” constellation. C(1), C(2), C(4), C(6) are constellations that are often recommended to be activated.

The author personally feels that the most significant constellations are C(2) and C(4) which are very effective for the Shield power they provide because they strengthen and extend the duration of the Shield.

C(6) is also good for you to get because it increases the buff from Favonian Favor for greater ATK SPD and can revive dead characters from 0 HP to full HP.

Artifact and Weapon Recommendations

Build Dahlia is actually very easy because the stat needed is HP as the main scaling. A maximum of 40,000 HP is the best amount you can aim for. At least 25,000 is okay but you can increase it again.

In addition to HP, according to the author, what you should pursue is Energy Recharge. You need this stat to be able to spam Elemental burst. A minimum of 100 ER can be pursued and 200 ER is very good.

Dahlia's focus is HP and Energy Recharge. So Support artifacts like Noblesse Oblige could be the best choice because it focuses on Elemental Burst.

Another alternative is a combination of Tenacity of the Millelith 2-PC which gives HP bonus + Emblem of Severed Fate 2-PC which provides Energy Recharged.

There are quite a lot of weapon choices depending on the HP or Energy Reharged needs that you need. However, the general choices are:

• MOBILE PHONE: Key of Khaj Nisut (5 stars) and The Dockhand's Assistant (4 stars)
• Energy Recharged: Skyward Blade (5 stars) and Favonius Sword (4 stars)

Team Recommendation for Dahlia as Support

Dahlia would be a great fit for Hydro or Cryo DPS with Frozen elemental reactions as the center of attack. Skirk, Wriothesley, or Ganyu would benefit greatly.

However, DPS who need ATK SPD like Yoimiya and Ayato also good with the Favonian Favor buff. Here is an example of a team recommendation for this Mondstadt Deacon:

• Dahlia + Furina + Wriothesley + Rosaria
• Dahlia + Yoimiya + Xingqiu + Bennett
