Now let's get straight to the main topic: MLBB age verification. This feature is still experimental and under development by Moonton.

Indeed, awareness of the impact of gaming on minors is growing. That's why Moonton has finally joined the trend.

They did this by launching the Moonton Youth Care platform. Through this platform, Moonton provides restrictions, age filters, and parental controls for its games.

This way, the hope is that parents will have a "way" to limit their children's activity—especially those who are still minors. And this is certainly good news.

So far, these "kids" have not only been affected by a competition environment that is considered inappropriate for their age, but have also disrupted the balance of the competition environment.

Therefore, Moonton designed this platform as an answer and a win-win solution to create a much healthier and more user-friendly gaming ecosystem.

Moonton's Youth Care feature is still being tested on the Advance Server. And judging by the information provided there, Moonton didn't launch this platform without a reason.

So, this step is based on government regulations governing the protection of minors. These regulations require all games to meet applicable standards.

And of course, MLBB is no exception. This feature will allow parents to implement age-appropriate protection settings to maximize the growth and development of young players.

Moonton provides multiple layers of protection and extensive control options to facilitate these regulations. Here are some of the details already visible:

Verify age and experience according to age

Here, users will be asked to verify their age for each account. This menu is located under Profile > Youth Care, under 'Account Settings'.

On the menu display, there will be a “CONTINUE VERIFICATION” option which will automatically redirect you out of the application and to the browser to open the Moonton page link.

Once opened, users will undergo a three-step age verification process. The first is Behavioral Analysis, which is Moonton's method for determining age based on gameplay behavior.

And next is Facial Age Estimation. Similar to the security system in online motorcycle taxi driver apps, there's also a facial verification step! The difference is, Moonton "tags" children's faces.

Lastly, there's NIK verification. Moonton requires its users to provide their National Identification Number (NIK) to prevent other forms of fraud.

Once completed, the verification results will determine content, features, and protection settings based on the user's age. All submitted data will also be kept confidential.

Protection of minors' privacy

Reflecting on the online game, protecting the privacy and data of minors is a separate issue. Therefore, if a user is detected as underage, features will be restricted.

This can come in many forms, ranging from protecting certain profile information, and restricting access to various in-game social features such as open mic, private chat, etc.

Liaison and management by parents

Finally, there's parental monitoring. Accounts detected as belonging to minors can then be monitored and controlled by parents through the account linking method.

Once both accounts are connected, through their accounts, parents can manage all social features on their child's Moonton account (including in games). MLBB) through the Moonton Youth Care Center.

In fact, parents can also determine the amount of screen time and the duration of playtime on their children's accounts. This way, they don't waste their time playing games.

Although this has already appeared on the Advance Server, Moonton hasn't provided a definitive "crescent moon" in the update when this platform will be available on the Original Server. So, let's just wait and see.

Although the Youth Care feature is currently still in the testing phase on the Advance Server and is not yet fully available on the Original Server, it's important to understand that this feature is a response to the Tunas Government Regulation (PP No. 17 of 2025). This regulation requires digital platforms to implement age verification and parental controls.
