Getting to Know the Kingdom Hearts Franchise

Imagine if Square Enix had a real-time hack-and-slash adventure game with taste. JRPGs which is quite thick, but not the lineup FinalFantasy. Yes, it's Kingdom Hearts!
The results of his collaboration with Disney (as the copyright owner of the brand) gave birth to a gaming masterpiece that can continue to survive for even more than two decades!
The first Kingdom Hearts series itself debuted in 2002 on the initiative of Square Enix. They had the idea of crossovering various Disney properties into one universe.
And when the pitch finally landed, it proved that 'Kingdom Hearts' was a brilliant idea. A flurry of positive responses began to pour in from the gaming public.
It's no surprise that the Disney and Square Enix duo eventually launched Kingdom Hearts as a standalone franchise. Prequels and sequels were eventually released, often receiving positive reviews.
Kingdom Hearts Plot

As we know, the story revolves around the adventures of the protagonist, Sora. He and his two friends plan to set sail from their hometown.
But on the night before their departure, a group of creatures called the Heartless attacked the city. The two friends then vanished without a trace.
In the midst of the chaos, Sora is uniquely able to awaken a Heartless-killing weapon called the Keyblade: a key-shaped sword that then becomes his signature weapon.
While chasing them, he accidentally encounters Goofy and Donald Duck, who are also unraveling the mystery of the Heartless. And so their adventure begins.
Main Storyline

Indeed, there have been numerous spin-off and prequel editions released under the Kingdom Hearts banner. However, the main storyline itself only reached its conclusion in the fourth installment.
However, due to the franchise's extensive media adaptations, there are no console exclusives for the main story. As a result, the plot encompasses nearly the entire lineup.
For example, before Kingdom Hearts 2 continues the plot of Kingdom Hearts 1, there is the adventure of Sora et al. in 'Chain of Memories' (GameBoy Advance). So it's perfectly acceptable to call it KH "1.5".
From the examples above, it's no surprise that various Kingdom Hearts series appear with unique numbering. Some examples include '1.5 Remix,' '2.5 Remix,' '2.8,' '0.2,' and so on.
So when Kingdom Hearts 3 was released in 2019 for eighth-generation platforms, it was natural that the plot didn't continue from Kingdom Hearts 2. It was so random, that a special guide was needed to understand all the lore.
