What is the Fortnite Rank System?

Fortnite Ranked is a player matchmaking system that determines which lobby you will be placed in and which players you will face. 

Ranked mode in Fortnite is divided into several ranks, and each rank has its own level. 

You'll start at the bottom and work your way up through the ranks. Once you reach the highest rank, Unreal, all Fortnite tournaments will be available to you.

How Rank Levels Work in Fortnite

Fortnite's ranking system compares your rank with other players so that players in the lobby are roughly the same level, making matches exciting and fair for everyone. 

Ranks will be awarded after a certain number of matches, and from then on, every match counts. 

In ranked mode, the number of rank points you earn after a match is determined by the kills, placement, and rankings involved in the match.

Placement

The better your finish in the race, the more points you'll earn. Finishing in first place will earn you the most points, while finishing in 65th place or lower will earn you no points at all. 

Elimination (Kill)

Every time you eliminate (kill) another player in a match, you will earn points, although the points you get are much less for a kill than for a good placement. 

The fewer players left in the game when you get a kill, the more points you get for that kill. 

Match Type

The type of match also determines how many points you will get. 

Game Modes That Use Rank

Fortnite's rank point system is available in two game modes, namely Battle Royale and Zero Build. 

The available Battle Royale modes are Solo, Duo, and Squad. For Zero Build, only Duo is available.

Battle Royale Ranked Mode

Battle Royale's ranked mode offers almost the same as unranked mode. 

This PvP mode is suitable for players who enjoy the competitive spirit of fierce battles with more skilled players, improving their skills, and progressing in the leaderboard.

Rank Zero Build Mode

This ranked mode is a test of pure combat skill and teamwork, as it is a non-building mode and is a classic battle royale.

How to Enable Ranked Mode in Fortnite

Existing Fortnite accounts can immediately access Ranked Mode. However, accounts Epic Games New players must first complete certain challenges in normal mode, such as outlasting 500 opponents. Only after achieving these goals will they unlock access to Ranked Mode.

To activate Fortnite Rank, you must follow these steps:

Fortnite Rank Reset Schedule

Regular Reset Schedule

• All players revert to a lower rank based on their previous season's performance.

Soft Reset System

Fortnite uses a soft reset system rather than a full reset:

• Players do not start completely from scratch
• Players with higher ranks are placed higher in the reset hierarchy.
• Champion and Unreal players usually reset to the Gold or Platinum division.
• Players with lower ranks can only drop 1-2 full ranking levels
