Nakime is one of the antagonist characters in the anime or manga Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba who plays the role of a Biwa performer or biwa player (a traditional Japanese musical instrument) before becoming a Demon.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is an anime adaptation of the manga by Koyoharu Gotoge which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump by Shueisha on February 15, 2016 – May 18, 2020 with a total of 23 volumes and aired on April 6, 2019.

This anime tells about the struggle Tanjiro Kamado and his friends to fight the demons who are wanted especially to defeat the King of Demons, namely Muzan Kibutsuji.

In the story of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Nakime is one of the biggest enemies who plays an important role in the 'Infinity Castle Arc'.

Infinity Castle Arc

Initially, this fight occurred when Mitsuri Kanroji (Love Hashira) and Obanai Iguro (Serpent Hashira) were exploring Infinity Castle which was controlled by the Upper Rank Four aka Nakime.

They both realized that the Upper Rank Four position had been replaced because Hantengu died, so they prepared to face his replacement even though they didn't know his strength yet.

When she met Nakime, Mitsuri Kanroji immediately drew her sword on Nakime, but Nakime did not immediately fight them with physical strength.

After Nakime plucked her Biwa strings, she unleashed the Blood Demon Art which made the atmosphere of Infinity Castle change as the doors, walls, and wood shifted and became a trap for Mitsuri Kanroji and Obanai Iguro.

Mitsuri Kanroji had time to attack Nakime, but Nakime immediately teleported the door in front of Mitsuri Kanroji which made Mitsuri fall down.

Obanai Iguri managed to use the Serpent Breathing: Venom Fangs of the Narrow Head technique to unleash a Decapitation Strike, but Nakime controlled a large log to throw Obanai Iguri far away.

For Obanai Iguri, Nakime's power is not deadly, but it is the most annoying and troublesome power.

Because their direct attacks had little effect and made the fight longer, Yushiro came and helped Mitsuri Kanroji and Obanai Iguri by using his strategy.

He used his Blood Demon Art to cover Nakime's eyes with a talisman and held onto Nakime's head to take over Nakime's vision control so he could control the Infinity Castile room so the plan could run smoothly.

This strategy could make Muzan Kibutsuji believe that Mitsuri Kanroji and Obanai Iguri were dead when they were only pretending.

Finally chaos occurs again, Muzan Kibutsuji realizes that Yushiro has taken over Nakime's eyes to control Infinity Castile and this threatens his position.

To prevent the Demon Slayers from taking control of Infinity Castle, Muzan Kibutsuji killed Nakime directly using his own power. He destroyed Nakime's cells without a single sword fight.

When Nakime died, Yushiro still held control of the room to change the Infinity Castle out of the dimensional world into the real world, then lifted all the rooms and made the castle collapse into part of the city.

This allows the Demon Slayer to fight to the finish with Muzan Kibutsuji again.
