Phainon's Best Build in Honkai Star Rail
Phainon is one of the characters in the popular game Honkai Star Rail. He is 5 star character with Physical elements and following the Path of Destruction.
The uniqueness of this character lies in its unusual gameplay mechanics and complex storyline.
If you want to use this character when playing the Honkai Star Rail game, let's see the explanation of the best build and team below!

Phainon was an Heir of Chrysos who was chosen to inherit the Worldbearing Coreflame, a divine power that once belonged to the Titan Kephale.
However, it turns out she has a very tragic background: she was part of a simulation and trapped in an endless loop.
Together with another character named Cyrene, they both try to prevent a “virus” that threatens the universe.
He and Cyrene were trapped in millions of time cycles. Each time a cycle ended, Phainon would return and start a new one, but each cycle left him more fragmented and suffering.
This ultimately leads him to become the “Flame Reaver,” an enemy he must face.
Moreover, when she is in her Khaslana form which is none other than her ultimate, it is a representation of the heroic role and tragic burden she carries in her story.
Phainon is a hypercarry DPS in the truest sense, as he can force all of his teammates to leave the battlefield to fight alone.
Here is the best Phainon build that will make you win every fight:
The Wavestrider Captain Relic is specifically designed for Phainon's kit. This relic directly increases critical damage by 16%. Additionally, when a team member targets a character equipped with their ability, this relic grants 1 stack of support, which stacks up to 2 times.
When a character uses their Ultimate ability while having 2 stacks of Assist, they expend all stacks and gain a 40% attack boost, which lasts for one turn. This makes the Wavestrider relic a perfect fit for Phainon DPS builds in Honkai Star Rail.
Additionally, if you haven't found the time to farm this relic, then you can use Scholar Lost in Erudition.
This relic increases the character's critical hit rate by 8%, and skill and ultimate damage by 20%. Skills used after the ultimate also receive a damage increase of 25%.
While this isn't the best relic for Phainon, it's a great placeholder while you're farming for Wavestrider Captain.
The new Arcadia of Woven Dreams Planar Ornament is a perfect fit for Phainon, as it's essentially useless on teams without a memosprite or Phainon.
This set increases the damage of its user (and their memosprite) when there are more or less than four team members on the battlefield.
Each lost/left behind team member will increase damage by 9%/12%, up to a maximum of 4/3 stacks.
This means that this character is guaranteed to get a damage increase of 36% when wearing this ornament and releasing his Ultimate.
As an alternative, you can use Rutilant Arena, because it will increase the Crit rate and skill as well as base attack damage, which is very suitable for his abilities.
This character is a classic hypercarry DPS, so her relic stats are pretty straightforward. Simply rack up as much critical hit rate and critical damage as possible.
The ideal DPS build will have a Crit rate of 100% and a total Crit damage above 180%.
Since Phainon gets a decent Crit damage boost from his Trace, it's best to use a body with a high Crit rate to reach the 100% Crit rate target first.
Additionally, you should focus on adding as many attacks as possible, followed by Speed.
Thus Burns the Dawn is the best Light Cone for Phainon, which is almost a given since it is his signature Light Cone.
However, other 5-star limited Light Cones like Brighter Than the Sun and I Shall Be My Own Sword can also work well on this character.
Among the free-to-play options, On the Fall of an Aeon continues to be the best Light Cone for all attack-scaling Destruction units to date.
When it comes to 4-star Light Cones, the new A Trail of Bygone Blood is definitely a favorite. However, you can only get it from Nameless Honor. Secret Vow is also a great alternative if you don't want to use On the Fall of an Aeon.
Phainon doesn't need a support character to keep his team alive. His ultimate forces all allies to leave the battlefield while he attacks alone while healing himself.
This makes it unnecessary to have a sustain character on the team, as they will ideally be out of the fight early on once Phainon enters his ultimate.
Phainon's best teammates are allies who buff him. He gains Coreflame stacks when an ally's ability targets him.
This way, running three more Harmony units will make Phainon enter Ultimate state faster than usual.
Additionally, any buffs given to Phainon will not expire once he enters Ultimate status.
This way, you don't have to worry about reapplying buffs to him even if only Phainon is left on the battlefield.
Characters that are harmonious or that provide damage buffs in different ways will be the best for Phainon.
Sunday, Robin, Bronya, Sparkle, Ruan Mei, Tingyun, and even Yukong are excellent partners for him.
Phainon's ability to maintain buffs in Ultimate state makes it easy to apply Yukong's powerful buffs to him, which have the downside of expiring after each turn.
On the other hand, Remembrance Trailblazers, Tribbie and Cipher, are also good alternatives to be part of the team.
Even though they are not Harmony characters, they provide buffs in other ways as well as giving him Coreflame stacks.
