Hundreds of Roblox Creators Exchange Ideas at the 2026 Indonesia Creator Meetup

Roblox held the largest gathering of Indonesian creators in Indonesia at an event titled Indonesia Creator Meetup 2026 at MGP Space, SCBD Park, South Jakarta, on Saturday (8/8/2026).

The event brought together hundreds of creators from across Indonesia to exchange knowledge, introduce local games, and explore new business opportunities in the country's rapidly growing digital economy.

Indonesia Creator Meetup 2026

Indonesia has a vibrant and diverse Roblox creator community. Roblox creators in Indonesia come from all ages, from students and hobbyists to studio founders.

In the event held last week, there were 160 creators from Indonesia and abroad who attended.

At the meeting, the creators shared inspiring stories, trends, and tips that can be considered and used as ideas.

The Indonesia Creator Meetup 2026 also reaffirmed the concept of Novel Games, a new game category that pushes the boundaries of genre, gameplay, and visuals (look-and-feel) on Roblox, by utilizing the Roblox platform.

In a written statement, Roblox said that it had launched the Jumpstart and Incubator programs.

Here's the explanation:

• Jumpstart is a program designed specifically for creators and studios.

• Incubator is a program aimed at experienced creators and professional studios to accelerate the production process through mentoring and full support for 6 months.

Christopher Andrew, a representative of young independent creators, shared his experiences. He admitted to being a self-taught creator.

In the same place, the Founder of Onblox Studio who is an Information Systems student at President University and the initiator of the President University Roblox Student Developer Club, Ahmad Maula said, the demand for Roblox is very large.

Therefore, the creator community needs to think about sustainability and encourage the emergence of new talents to keep up with these developments.

“"There's so much economic potential in Roblox that players and non-players alike haven't realized yet. Imagine what we could achieve if we continued to share our knowledge and expertise and learn from each other, creating a thriving, positive cycle," said Ahmad.

Ratu Aida Raisya, founder of the all-female Indonesian Roblox Srikandi (KARIS) Active Community, is on a mission to empower fellow female creators.

KARIS itself is a concrete example of this effort with the launch of their debut game, “Act Normal for 30 Days,” which received enthusiasm from players.

“"Through Roblox and KARIS, we want to show fellow women that they have the same abilities and creativity to create," said Aida.

In its statement, Roblox, citing data from the Indonesia Economic Impact Report covering the 2019–2024 reporting period, stated that it had contributed US$1.9 billion (Rp126.7 billion) to GDP, equivalent to a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of US$3071 billion.

Meanwhile, the average payout to each creator increased by 138%, and the number of creators eligible to receive payments increased by 176%.
