AKAS is an Indonesian bus company group founded by Sukarman in Probolinggo, East Java in 1952. 

This group was initially a land transportation service provider serving intercity buses and tourist buses around Java, Madura and Bali.

The initial establishment of this company was thanks to Sukarman's experience in mechanical engineering and motor vehicles, having worked in a workshop until finally establishing his own bus business.
