Seperti 2 seri game sebelumnya, kamu juga akan berperan sebagai seorang “Hunter” atau pemburu. Kamu bertugas untuk membunuh dan menjebak monster-monster besar di beragam tempat sebagai bagian dari quest dari para penduduk desa.<\/p>\n
Mulai dari pegunungan bersalju, hutan, padang pasir, benteng, rawa-rawa, hingga perbukitan, ada banyak tempat dari seri game terdahulu yang menunggu untuk dijelajahi.<\/p>\n
Beberapa quest yang akan kamu terima melibatkan pencarian item tertentu yang bisa jadi sangat berbahaya dan beresiko tinggi menghadapi berbagai level monster berbeda.<\/p>\n

Kamu bisa mendapatkan berbagai item dan equipment dengan mengalahkan monster, mengumpulkan sumber daya dan menyelesaikan quest.<\/p>\n
Rewards yang kamu dapatkan bisa digunakan untuk meningkatkan senjata, armor, dan item lainnya untuk membantu menghadapi monster yang lebih kuat nantinya.<\/p>\n
Terdapat tiga tipe serangan utama yaitu Cutting<\/em>, Impact<\/em>, dan Shot<\/em>. Setiap monster memiliki ketahanan yang berbeda-beda terhadap jenis serangan yang diluncurkan oleh pemain pada zona serangannya.<\/p>\n
Serangan Impact\u00a0<\/em>adalah serangan yang spesial dimana kamu bisa membuat lawanmu K.O. dengan memukul monster tepat di kepala.<\/p>\n
Sebelum permainan dimulai, kamu bisa melakukan kustomisasi kepada karakter yang akan kamu pakai. Kamu bisa mengatur gender, pakaian, bentuk wajah, rambut, hingga suara dari karaktermu.<\/p>\n

Dalam game ini, Capcom menambahkan seorang Felyne Fighter baru untuk kamu sewa. Felyne Fighter nantinya akan membantu kamu menjalankan quest dengan total maksimal 13 Felyne dalam sekali sewa.<\/p>\n

Tidak hanya menambahkan pendamping quest baru, para monster baru juga akan muncul dalam game ini. Para monster tersebut adalah Nargacuga, Ukanlos, King Shakalaka, Queen Vespoid, Lavasioth, dan Hypnocatrice.<\/p>\n
Update lainnya juga diberikan pada perluasan kotak item pemain. Sekarang, kamu bisa membawa hingga 99 jenis item, 20 set equipment, dan 10 halaman equipment (sebelumnya hanya ada 6).<\/p>\n
Tipe quest baru “Epic Hunting Quest” ikut diperkenalkan. Dalam tipe quest ini, kamu bisa menghadapi 4 monster sekaligus dalam 1 quest saja.<\/p>\n

Pada masa perilisan Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, Capcom ternyata pernah menjalin kerjasama untuk mempromosikan game ini.<\/p>\n
Promosi itu dilakukan dengan franchise pizza terkenal, Pizza Hut! Kampanye promosi tersebut berlangsung mulai dari tanggal 14 Februari sampai 26 Maret 2008 di Jepang.<\/p>\n
Untuk setiap orang yang membeli sebuah Pizza dari website Pizza Hut Jepang akan mendapatkan hadiah menarik berupa merchandise<\/em> resmi dari game ini.<\/p>\n
Hadiah-hadiah tersebut adalah T-Shirt Black Monster Hunter, konsol game PlayStation Portable Ceramic White (PSP<\/a>-2000CW), dan salinan dari game Monster Hunter Freedom Unite.<\/p>\n
