Perusahaan Tencent mengumumkan telah mengakuisisi studio <\/span>games<\/span><\/i> Inflexion Games pada Selasa, 22 Februari 2022 lalu.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pengembang <\/span>game <\/span><\/i>yang sedang mengerjakan proyek <\/span>game <\/span><\/i>Nightingale<\/a> ini diketahui sudah tidak bekerja sama dengan Improbable. Hal ini tentunya menarik <\/span>game<\/span><\/i> Nightingale dari penggunaan SpatialOS, dan merobak ulang <\/span>game <\/span><\/i>tersebut.<\/span><\/p>\n

Saham Improbable terhadap Inflexion Games resmi 100% dibeli oleh Perusahaan Tencent.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Hal ini menjadikan Inflexion sebagai studio pengembang <\/span>game <\/span><\/i>yang masuk dalam jajaran <\/span>studio games <\/span><\/i>di bawah Tencent, setelah Turtle Rock Studios yang diakuisisi tahun lalu.<\/span><\/p>\n

CEO Improbable, Herman Narula, mengumumkan penarikan perusahaan pengembang SpatialOS ini dari pengembangan <\/span>game <\/span><\/i>Nightingale pada awal tahun lalu.<\/span><\/p>\n
Improbable mengatakan akan melepaskan semua studio <\/span>game <\/span><\/i>yang berencana akan merilis <\/span>game <\/span><\/i>dibawah Improbable. Studio yang dimaksud adalah Studio Midwinter, dan Studio Inflexion Games.<\/span><\/p>\n
Kejelasan nasib dari Studio Midwinter belum dipastikan namun untuk Inflexion, Improbable telah menjual 100% sahamnya terhadap Tencent.<\/span><\/p>\n
Tencent adalah perusahaan konglomerat teknologi raksasa yang memegang saham beberapa <\/span>game <\/span><\/i>terkenal seperti PUBG dan Free Fire.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
Meskipun PUBG sudah melepaskan hubungannya dengan Tencent dan Free Fire pun terkena pemblokiran di India akibat adanya saham Tencent, perushaan ini tetap melakukan akuisisi terhadap banyak perusahaan.<\/span><\/p>\n
Tencent telah melakukan pembelian beruntun selama beberapa tahun terakhir, dan Infelxion Games menjadi studio terbaru mengikuti pengembang <\/span>game <\/span><\/i>terkenal Back 4 Blood, Turtle Rock Studio. studio game terbaru yang jatuh di bawah sayapnya adalah pengembang, Turtle Rock Studios.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
Sejak didirikan pada tahun 2003, divisi game Tencent terus berkembang. Hingga saat ini, perusahaan tersebut lebih besar dari EA, Nintendo, dan banyak industri besar lainnya di industri ini.<\/span><\/p>\n
Improbable mengumumkan pada 22 Februari, telah menjual mayoritas saham yang dimilikinya untuk Inflexion terhadap Tencent.<\/span><\/p>\n
Seberapa besar saham dan kesepakatan yang disetujui pihak Tencent dan Improbable tidak diungkapkan secara eksplisit.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
CEO Inflexion Games, Aaryn Flynn, pelepasan Improbable kepada pihak Tencent ini sudah sejak lama diperbincangkan oleh pihak Inflexion dengan Improbable.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
Pihak Improbable beralih sudah tidak mempunyai visi dan misi yang sama dalam pengembangan <\/span>game<\/span><\/i> bersama Inflexion.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
Improbable tetap akan sangat suportif kepada semua Inflexion Games meskipun akhirnya dilepas kepada pihak Tencent agar bisa melebarkan sayap dan tujuan <\/span>game <\/span><\/i>yang sesuai diinginkan Inflexion.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Nightingale Tidak Menggunakan SpatialOS Lagi<\/h2>\n

Keputusan Improbable menjual Inflexion pastinya akan berpengaruh pada pengembangan <\/span>game <\/span><\/i>pertama Inflexion, Nightingale.<\/span><\/p>\n
Artinya Nightingale dipastikan tidak akan menggunakan SpatialOS lagi dan merobak total konsep <\/span>game<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n
CEO Inflexion mengatakan <\/span>game<\/span><\/i> Nightingale awalnya akan bergenre survival crafting yang rilis pada akhir tahun 2022. Game itu mengalami perubahan signifikan karena kesepakatan ini dan tidak akan lagi menggunakan SpatialOS.<\/span><\/p>\n
Sebagai gantinya, Aaryn Flynn menjelaskan Nightingale akan menjadi <\/span>game single-player<\/span><\/i> atau <\/span>game multiplayer <\/span><\/i>dengan skala yang bisa dimainkan lebih intim.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
Hal ini sejalan dengan Tencent yang beberapa tahun terakhir mengakuisisi <\/span>game <\/span><\/i>dengan <\/span>genre <\/span><\/i>serupa. Tencent terlihat tertarik pada <\/span>game <\/span><\/i>dengan basis <\/span>multiplayer <\/span><\/i>dan sistem <\/span>co-op<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n
Flynn juga menjelaskan tidak akan menjadi <\/span>game <\/span><\/i>dengan <\/span>scope <\/span><\/i>yang membutuhkan cloud computing besar seperti Improbable atau Google Stadia.<\/span><\/p>\n
Perubahan kepemilikan kepada Tencent ini dipahami Flynn pastinya akan sangat berpengaruh pada perkembangan Nightingale, namun ke arah yang baik.<\/span><\/p>\n
