Sebelum kita bahas lebih lanjut mengenai game tersebut, akan terasa kurang jika tidak ikut membahas mengenai franchise ini terlebih dahulu!<\/p>\n
Yap, Dragon Quest merupakan salah satu title ekskulif dari Nintendo<\/a>\u00a0yang sudah sangat melegenda!<\/p>\n

Franchise ini dimulai di Jepang sejak tahun 1986 untuk konsol Famicom. Ada tiga pihak yang men-desain game ini: Armor Project (Yuji Horii), Bird Studio (Akira Toriyama) dan Sugiyama Kobo (Koichi Sugiyama).<\/span><\/p>\n
Ketiganya-pun lantas berinisiatif melempar karya mereka pada Square Enix sebagai publisher-nya. Dan sejak saat itu semua pihak yang terlibat memiliki hak cipta seri tersebut hingga sekarang.<\/span><\/p>\n
Game ini sendiri baru menembus pasar barat pada tahun 1989. Karena alasan hak cipta, namanya diubah menjadi Dragon Warrior.<\/p>\n

Namun untuk memberikan twist inovatif pada seri Dragon Quest, sang developer-pun merilis bentuk spin-off-nya. Seri inilah yang dinamakan Dragon Quest monsters: berfokus pada pengendalian monster.<\/p>\n

Dalam seri ini, pemain tidak bertarung melawan monster. Yap, mereka akan diminta untuk bekerja sama dengan monster lainnya untuk bertarung.<\/p>\n

Salah satu judul dalam seri ini adalah Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince. Game ini berfokus pada protagonis, Psaro, yang merupakan penjahat utama dari Dragon Quest IV.<\/p>\n
Psaro merupakan keturunan manusia dan raja iblis (ayahnya): Randolvo sang Tiran. Ia memutuskan untuk membalas dendam pada Randolvo setelah dia dan ibunya diusir dari desa mereka.<\/p>\n
Namun, dia mendapatkan kutukan yang menghalangi dia untuk melukai apapun dengan darah monster. Dengan bantuan Monty, seorang penengkar monster, Psaro memulai perjalanan sebagai Monster Wrangler.<\/p>\n
Game ini menawarkan eksplorasi dengan banyak variasi. Pemain akan menjelajahi dunia manusia dan dunia iblis Nadiria yang dibagi menjadi 6 alam (realm) yang disebut ‘Lingkaran (Circles)’.<\/p>\n
Setiap Lingkaran memiliki 3 bagian (Echelon): Bawah, Tengah dan Atas. Ada beberapa musim yang tersedia, dan setiap musim akan mengubah tampilan lansekap dari area tersebut.<\/p>\n
Sistem musim ini dapat membuka jalan baru untuk mendapatkan harta karun, dan juga memunculkan monster langka. Ini menjadikan Dragon Quest Monster: The Dark Prince menjadi dinamis dan lebih kompleks.<\/p>\n

Dengan fokus pada penangkapan dan pertempuran monster, serta sistem progresi yang unik, seri ini menawarkan pengalaman yang berbeda dari seri utama.<\/p>\n
Game ini pertama rilis pada bulan Desember 2023. Dan hanya dalam minggu pertama penjualannya di pangsa Jepang, game ini sudah terjual lebih dari 300 ribu kopi lho!<\/p>\n
Jumlah tersebut menjadikan game ini sebagai judul yang paling banyak terjual di minggu tersebut. Dan terhitung hingga Januari 2024 kemarin, game ini sudah terjual sebanyak 1 juta kopi!<\/p>\n
