Ascension is about Kratos' revenge. This is also the beginning of Kratos' transformation from the Spartan demigod to finally the God of War.<\/span><\/p>\n
Ascension takes place months after Kratos was manipulated into killing his wife and daughter by the Greek god of war, Ares.<\/span><\/p>\n
Kratos, who was traumatized by the murder, refused to honor the oath he had made to Ares.<\/span><\/p>\n
And that made Ares furious and ordered Fury to punish Kratos' betrayal.<\/span><\/p>\n
The game ends when Kratos leaves his Spartan home, still consumed by his grief<\/span><\/p>\n

Ghost of Sparta takes place in the time between God of War and God of War 2.<\/span><\/p>\n
Kratos travels to Atlantis where he meets his mortal mother and long lost brother, Deimos, who were kidnapped by the gods as a child to prevent the destruction of Olympus.<\/span><\/p>\n

God of War 2 brings Kratos together with Zeus, King of Olympus. Kratos, who has been ostracized for his rage for years, refuses Athena's pleas for peace and continues to wreak havoc across Greece.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
This is the end point for Olympus; Zeus descends on the battlefield and kills Kratos.<\/span><\/p>\n
Kratos finds a new ally in Gaia, the mother of the Titans and Earth. He gave Kratos a way to rewrite the past and save his own life.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
