Some of them are the Daniel Felix Ritchie School of Engineering and Computer Science, University College, Division of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Daniels College of Business, and Josef Korbel School of International Studies.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Daniel Felix Ritchie School of Engineering and Computer Science offers a BA or BS in Game Development. This program is a joint effort of Computer Science, Emergent Digital Practice, and the Arts, each with specific requirements. <\/span><\/p>\n

The BA requires a dual major, one in Game Development and one in Digital Media Studies, Electronic Media Art Design or Studio Art.<\/span><\/p>\n

The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (UCCS) serves nearly 12,600 students enrolled in 45 undergraduate, 22 masters, and five doctoral degree programs at seven colleges and schools. <\/span><\/p>\n

Besides Engineering, the school includes Literature, Arts, and Science, Business Administration, Education, Public Relations, Nursing & Health Sciences, and Graduate School<\/span><\/p>\n

The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (UCCS) is home to the College of Engineering and Applied Science (EAS). The College offers a unique degree program for game designers called the Bachelor of Innovation (BI) in Game Design and Development. <\/span><\/p>\n

Offered since 2007, BI in Game Design and Development has a 30-credit GDD core that accounts for approximately 70 percent programming and 30 percent design\/prototyping. <\/span><\/p>\n

Students in this program can choose 15 credits of concentration options that are tailored to their particular interests. Concentration options typically work up to 60 percent programming and 40 percent design\/prototyping.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to Game Art, several program options include 3D Animation, 3D Character Animation, Graphic Design, Illustration, Design Process and Production, and Fine Arts. Programs for aspiring game designers include a BFA in Game Art.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the school, RMCAD's Game Art curriculum "is an amalgamation of technical and artistic courses that cover the computer, analytical, and technical skills necessary to understand the mechanics of game design." <\/span><\/p>\n

Students will also be introduced to everything from various aspects of graphic design to creative and technical writing.\u201d Requirements for the 123 credit hour program include 16 Art History credits, 30 Liberal Arts credits, 24 Foundation credits, 48 Core credits, and six Studio Elective credits.<\/span><\/p>\n

This school was founded in 1967 by Kirby Hart at a time when there were no higher education schools available to people in northern Colorado. Estimated annual tuition fees for Aims Community College average around $8,500 for all students.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aims offers aspiring game designers a two to three year program in the form of an Associate of Applied Science in Graphic Design & Rich Media: Animation. <\/span><\/p>\n
