Simply put, this game has two types of mods Minecraft<\/a>. The first type simply enhances the existing game while the other overhauls the vanilla world.<\/span><\/p>\n

For example, OptiFine only changes the aesthetics of the game. However, the Minecraft Origin mod makes it something completely new. There are no bad mods, it all depends on what the player likes.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Minecraft 1.19 update was recently dropped, which means Minecraft mods will have new effects on the game's features. While there are a lot of great mods to try out in version 1.19, some are more underrated than others.<\/span><\/p>\n

List of the Best Minecraft Mods<\/span><\/h2>\n

After the Minecraft 1.19 update, there's a lot to try and explore. There are new biomes, monsters, items and building blocks for players to enjoy. Minecraft is a big game and this update has only made it even bigger.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, if and when gamers get tired of the new features and want more, they'll be out of luck. The 1.20 update is at least a few months away, if not longer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Luckily for Java Edition players, there is a mod. Bedrock players have access to add-ons like texture packs, but not as extensively as mods. Here are some really good ones to use in the 1.19 update.<\/span><\/p>\n

What makes this Minecraft mod so underrated is that it really only changes one thing: the lighting. On the surface, this might not be an essential mod to have. However, it makes a big difference.<\/span><\/p>\n

Most of the existing light blocks, even in recent versions of Minecraft, are quite lackluster. Update 1.19 brings foglights to the game. However, this light source also doesn't make much of a difference, as it's quite difficult to obtain in Survival.<\/span><\/p>\n

Being able to properly light things up is important, especially if the player travels to the Deep Dark biome without a night vision potion. This is where Simply Light comes into play.<\/span><\/p>\n

Another feature that players may lack is good lighting options. While many beams give off light, not many of them are of the highest quality. <\/span><\/p>\n

Even though update 1.19 introduced froglights, those blocks are quite challenging to acquire in the game. The Simply Light mod addresses this head-on by adding a new light block. It also improves existing ones.<\/span><\/p>\n

Biomes O'Plenty<\/span><\/h3>\n

Biomes O'Plenty has been one of the most popular mods in Minecraft for a long time. It's hard to consider it an underrated Minecraf mod but, especially after the 1.19 update, which added two new biomes to the game.<\/span><\/p>\n

For this reason, players may not see the need for biome addition mods anymore. However, adding more biomes to the game is never a bad thing, which is also the main reason O'Plenty's Biomes have been so popular for so long.<\/span><\/p>\n

Biomes O'Plenty, as the name suggests, adds Savanna Lush, Maple Woods, Marsh, Mediterranean Forest and many more to the game.<\/span><\/p>\n

Biomes O'Plenty has been one of the most popular mods in Minecraft for a long time. Even with update 1.19 adding two major biomes, Deep Dark and Mangrove Swamp, there's always room for more in the game. This mod adds a lot, as the name suggests.<\/span><\/p>\n

O'Plenty's biomes are constantly updated to provide players with the highest quality biomes to enjoy in the game. It was just updated to 1.19, so it's perfect for today's player base.<\/span><\/p>\n

Extra Alchemy<\/span><\/h3>\n

Changing potions may not seem like an important change in the game. On the surface, there are more than enough potions for everything a player might need.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, this mod improves and expands on existing alchemy, which is now more important than ever after the update. <\/span><\/p>\n

Someone needs a potion to light their way in Deep Dark, where everything is pitch black. There are also dangers everywhere, the counterattack of which also requires potions. <\/span>This is a simpler mod that doesn't change the game in a big way, but it is very important.<\/span><\/p>\n

Extra Alchemy doesn't add potions, but potion bags and potion rings. Bags allow players to carry multiple potions in a single inventory slot, while rings make the effect semi-persistent.<\/span><\/p>\n

Potions have always been important in Minecraft. With that said, night vision was a great effect that could be obtained through alchemy. This effect is very important in update 1.19<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

In Deep Dark, the effects of darkness will be applied to players, and they will have to face the Warden, who is perhaps the most difficult mob in the game. Potions are important and this mod adds some useful ones.<\/span><\/p>\n

Xaero's Minimap<\/span><\/h3>\n

This Minecraft mod changes a small part of the screen. Adding the minimap doesn't change much in Minecraft. For the most part, players can see everything they need to see, and there isn't much to change.<\/span><\/p>\n
However, that little addition is hugely understated. Crafters don't need to carry a map with them, which frees up inventory slots or their hands. With that, they can carry other stuff and have less visibility overall.<\/span><\/p>\n
