This means that year after year, The International remains the largest esports event, in terms of prize pool, in addition to a growing amount of prize money.<\/span><\/p>\n

The crowdfunded nature of the battle pass has ensured that Valve has repeatedly broken records for the largest esports prize pool over the last decade since the game's Battle Pass, formerly called Compendium, began. The International 10 has a wallet of slightly over $ 40 million, about six million more than the previous iteration.<\/span><\/p>\n

The crazy prize money provides a different spirit around the annual event, with players giving their all to get an even bigger slice of the pie and lift the hallowed Aegis of Champions above their heads.<\/span><\/p>\n
