Overall, teams tend to follow a system where each group has one Duelist and Sentinel, one Initiator and\/or Controller, and then to finish off their team multiple Sentinels or Duelists. It's a game of deciding what kind of role your team wants to support, attack (Duelists), defend (Sentinel), or map control (Controller\/Initiator).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arguably, the most important Meta Valorant is Duelist and Sentinel. That's because they are directly focused on your map goals, attacking or defending points. While agents such as Controller Omen and Initiator Sova are popular, their focus is on interacting with the situations around you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If your team is better at perfect headshots and winning 1v1s, Duelists might be your best bet. On the other hand, if you are better at working together to push or protect points, Sentinels are likely to provide you with the backline support your team needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
