Before we get to the main discussion, it would be good if VCGamers discusses the Valhalla Gang first. So, for Vicigers who may have forgotten the specifics, they can understand it again.
It is undeniable that the plot of this “old” manga does indeed tell a lot of gangs. And with the existence of a back and forth storyline, this makes everything even more complicated.
There are gangs that use a generation system; there are also those that even re-establish themselves after disbanding or changing names. It's natural that there are fans who don't know each one.
Well, of all the “hustle and bustle” of the gang, one of them is Valhalla. Specifically for this one, there are actually not many details available and can be explained.
Based on the plot itself, Valhalla is a "puppet" gang that the main antagonist uses as bait to smooth his plan to take over Tokyo Manji (Toman).
Despite having its own arc, not many of Valhalla's "central" characters are introduced. Most of them are characters who have a past history with Toman.
It is no wonder that after the arc is over, the gang does not get any meaningful continuation in the development of the story. That is where some plot holes finally start to appear.
Now to the main discussion, namely the plot holes of Valhalla Tokyo Revengers. This refers to the oddity of the storyline related to the gang and its arc.
The various points that will come up in this discussion generally do not have a complete resolution – leaving many fans wondering. And here are some of them:
In Chapter 33, after the success Takemichi save Draken and returning to the future, it is seen that his efforts in the past were not fruitful.
Instead of successfully preventing Toman from falling into the criminal world, this instead became Kisaki's "ticket" to join. Not to mention the complicated scheme of Moebius' transition to Valhalla (Hanma's intrigue).
Kisaki's entry after the Moebius incident actually launched Bloody Halloween: forcing Baji to leave after realizing the antagonist's cunning and evil plans.
This is the most absurd plot hole in the Valhalla Arc. In Chapter 60, Baji, who was already unconscious due to the wound, Kazutora give it turns out to be successful in rising again.
But instead of waiting for the ambulance which he said was on-the-way, he instead tried to end his own life. He did this to keep Kazutora's hands "clean".
In fact, if Baji were alive, his goal of thwarting the antagonist's plan would have succeeded. He could have forced Mikey to fire Kisaki and bring Kazutora back to Toman!
Upon Takemichi's return to the future after his success in Bloody Halloween, he still couldn't prevent Hina's death even though he was at the top of Toman.
What's worse, in this timeline, he is one of those who carries out the plan to end his crush: being trapped in Kisaki's machinations as Toman's highest "official".
But oddly enough, while Kisaki finishes off Chifuyu and corners Takemitchi, it's unclear how the protagonist escapes death and ends up with Kazutora.
